Welcome to St Mary Magdalen's Catholic Primary and Nursery School

Together in God's Love We Stand; Learning and Friendship Hand in Hand

On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I offer you a warm welcome to St Mary Magdalen’s Catholic Primary School. I hope you find our website clear and informative as it is designed to give you a flavour of the vibrant life at our school, the work of our pupils and the quality of education we deliver!

As a Catholic school, we provide all of our children with the opportunity to grow as young people and encourage and support them in developing a closer relationship with God. Our school motto ‘Together in God’s Love We Stand; Learning and Friendship Hand in Hand’ was written by our school community and inspiration for this was drawn from our school ethos, where we believe that ‘each person is a unique creation of God and we therefore respect and care for their individual needs.’

If you require any further information or you would like your child to join our school, please make an appointment to come and see our school in action. I look forward to meeting you.

Mrs Gemma Nunes                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Head of School

Operation Encompass provides a confidential channel of communication between police and Key Adults within schools. This enables the immediate and discrete recognition of the child's situation by the Key Adult, ensuring a secure and sympathetic environment is provided and the broader effects of abuse are addressed.

At St Mary Magdalen’s our key adults are our Mrs Nunes (DSL) and Mrs Sarah Clayton (Deputy DSL)
